What you should know before choosing a lawyer

Jessica Dean: There are many factors to consider when hiring a lawyer. Each attorney has a different style. Generally speaking, find one that you can communicate with easily, communicate with confidence, speak with a reasonable voice and articulateness, has excellent jury and presentation skills, maintains good credibility, presents the case factually, and has a reasonable ability to win the case.

Managing time as a lawyer

Jessica Dean: My experience has been that working for me and managing my time is the same as working for anyone who works full-time outside of the law. The only difference is that my employer is me, and I pride myself on ensuring my workload is properly managed. Also, I try to start every day with a cup of coffee and a good workout.
